Unigear Fly Tarp

Side Awning or Tarp?

We decided to  choose a tarp over a side mounted awning.

Main reason was I thought it would be more practical as I could place it either side of the vehicle or off of the back depending on how we parked or the space we have.

Another great point is the weight.

The Unigear tarp is huge (300cm x 500cm) and only weighs 1.6kg

What is also ideal is you can have loads of different configurations.

I like the idea that you can  have the tarp setup away from your vehicle.

Because of the large size you are able to set up the same as a roll out awning but also have the privacy or windstop at the side without having to add  an extra side panel.

The tarp is great for setting up near the Land Rover over the hammock.
